Our ethos is to facilitate a comprehensive solution-focused offer for our patients with therapy needs across the trust. We support the existing multi-disciplinary team in understanding our patients' therapy needs, supporting decision-making and planning, and helping to identify pathways for ongoing care. We work in partnership with the following trust care groups: Adult’s Specialist Mental Health, Children, Young People and Families, and Learning Disabilities and Neuro-developmental disorder. This means the successful candidate will gain invaluable experience supporting our patients with a wide range of complex diagnostic presentations.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
* Support in delivering a high-quality therapy service
* Take a holistic and solution-focused view when undertaking occupational therapy assessments
* Assess and manage risk and monitor the mental health and physical health status of the patient
* Liaise with a broad range of teams across the trust and associated partners
* Triage referrals and utilize expertise
* Work autonomously yet collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework, providing and contributing to specialist assessment, formulation, and clinical support.
