Product Delivery Manager
Reporting to: Chief Product Officer
Location: Homebased with occasional travel to Customer sites or Company Offices
Overview:
As a Delivery Manager you’ll be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of new solutions as part of a cross-functional team. The position guides complex technology initiatives from inception through delivery and support, working in close partnership with the product director / solution owner and the solution architect in the team. You will be the crucial bridge between our product vision and its successful, compliant, and timely execution.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the technical components required to deliver a solution are scoped, designed, planned, and delivered. You will help the delivery team achieve their objectives, tracking/reporting progress against delivery milestones and be willing to “roll up your sleeves” where required. You will be adept in Agile methodologies, and a champion for continuous improvement within a regulated environment.
Initially, you will be focused on supporting the delivery of one of Graphnet’s most strategic programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Obtain a sound understanding of the technology and software components making up the Graphnet product suites and use that knowledge to inform the delivery approach
* Support product leads or solution architects to drive the execution of key initiatives from design through to delivery and deployment
* Work with the solution owner and solution architect to understand the business outcomes for the initiative, the functional and non-functional requirements, and the components required to deliver the initiative
* Ensure comprehensive plans in place, covering all technical components needed, to ensure that the initiative will be seen through from beginning to end, working with the different delivery teams and departments to ensure that each component is managed through the delivery pipeline
* Where required, work with third party stakeholders and suppliers to progress technical deliverables (e.g. understanding / obtaining specifications and certificates, testing requirements etc) which will be required to deliver the initiative and ensure timelines / dependencies are communicated to the d all of the teams involved.
* Liaise with various departments across the business (e.g. operations, infrastructure, security, customer facing service teams) to ensure any customer roll-out and migration activities are scoped out and planned.
* Ensure a comprehensive handover of new solutions are carried out to the deployment and operations teams so that solutions are supportable and can be deployed at scale
* Ensure risks, issues, or delays are flagged to the solution owner as early as possible so that they can be addressed
* Set up and facilitate workshops as required to ensure the components of the solution are understood and planned
Education, Experience & Skills:
Essential:
* Project Management experience including Prince 2 training or equivalent
* Experience of working across the lifecycle of a complex software product
* SAFe Agile Product Management (or demonstrate an understanding of the principles through experience/application)
* Demonstrate experience of working with development teams using scaled agile delivery to proactively manage and communicate timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
* Effective communicator across different stakeholder groups interacting within every level of the business to achieve the Product Teams goals
* Takes responsibility to drive delivery, and uses initiative to solve challenges
* Comfortable to constructively challenge the norm and suggest improvements
Desirable:
* Technical skills& understanding should include: SQL, .NET, Azure services & API development
* Experience of integration engines / middleware / messaging solutions
* Understanding of the requirements for deploying software into a clinical environment
* Experience in healthcare is a bonus, especially using cloud technologies
