St James Academy are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Officer to support our busy secondary academy. You will need excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and multi-task, and a positive, can-do attitude. Strong communication skills and professionalism are essential, as you will work closely with staff, students, and visitors with discretion and diplomacy. The Administration Officer will assist the Office Manager / Principal in the provision of clerical and administrative services at the Academy and carry out the duties as contained in the attached job description. In addition, the postholder will act as Lead First Aider, responsible for ensuring adequate first aid arrangements are in place across the Academy. The Lead First Aider will: · Oversee the list of qualified first aiders · Ensure the day to day arrangements for dispensing medication to learners · Update learner records · Oversee the in school procedures for logging accidents via Every · Working with SLT, determine the first aid rota for qualified first aiders · Act as a first aider on the rota, and provide additional cover and backup if needed · Check and maintain stock of first aid kits An additional payment of £1,200 per annum applies for these duties.
