Job Summary
The ENT Nurse Specialist provides expert nursing care, advice, and support to patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions, as well as their families and carers. This role involves leading nurse-led clinics, delivering advanced clinical assessments, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality continuous care. It also includes support to the Head and Neck Stoma Nurse Specialist for patients with tracheostomies across Diana Princess of Wales Hospital and Scunthorpe General Hospital.
Main duties of the job
* Provide specialist nursing advice
* Work autonomously as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
* Provide nurse‑led clinics
* Maintain awareness of policies and procedures in relation to working practices
* Assess, plan, prioritise, implement and evaluate nursing interventions to meet patients' needs
* Contribute to the organisation of multi‑disciplinary, patient‑centred care

Person Specification
Essential:
* NMC Registered
* Post Registration Qualification
* Experience within ENT
* Experience of Outpatient settings
* Ability to communicate effectively with MDT
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage challenging situations
* Excellent organisational skills
Desirable:
* Experience working with tracheostomy patients
* Research skills
