The role A 1-1 Classroom Support assistantwill provide personalised support to students with additional needs in the classroom. The school seeks a bubbly 1-1 Classroom support assistant who will be enthusiastic, patient, and caring. 1-1 Classroom support assistant provide support and guidance to the student in their variety of learning needs and assistance with personal care / moving and handling with hoists. Delivering support to children aged 2 all the way through to 11 on a one-to-one basis. A versatile role means the ideal 1-1 classroom support assistant will be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Building a trustworthy and lasting relationship with a student, enabling the student to shine bright. To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will: Be flexible and available. Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial Friendly and nurturing qualities. Competent behaviour management skills. Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this. Have a patient and caring nature. Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Willing to complete CPD training.
