Job Description

Taylor & Francis are looking to bring on a technically minded individual, who is interested in combining the analytical intelligence from data and developing technical solutions to problems in data systems. The two key applications are TM1 (Reporting and Calculation Engine) and Alteryx (ETL). With a background in project work, they will demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and possess a computer science or mathematics qualification.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior TM1 Lead is responsible for supporting T&F applications, TM1 and Alteryx applications. The developer must meet all agreed-upon service levels for all TM1 applications within their remit, supporting day-to-day operations and medium- to long-term development in support of business needs and strategy.


Tasks Are Likely To Include

* Supporting technical development initiatives including tracking cash flows, revenue growth strategies, and investment opportunities.
* Understanding how these initiatives feed into forecasting, budgeting and planning activities.
* Challenging current processes and ways of working to deliver optimal output in a timely fashion.
* Engaging with key stakeholders and relaying information in a clear, commercial‑oriented manner.
* Triaging system issues and ensuring end‑user engagement in reporting tools.
* Running daily development scrum calls for the TM1 pillar.
* Quality assurance of the completed work and providing guidance where needed.
* Participating in project prioritisation meetings and conflict resolution workshops with Finance Directors.
* Coaching the team from a career progression perspective.
* Representing Finance alongside the Director of Finance Systems in T&F Platforms Architecture calls with the TSS Architecture teams.
* Owning the TM1 toolsets for T&F Finance, including system upgrades and configuration.
* Managing relationships with IBM.


Qualifications

* BS Degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
* Good knowledge of a wide area of information systems concepts and practice, both within and beyond the organization, including all stages of systems development.
* Demonstrated rational and organized approach to task completion with a focus on quality.
* Good knowledge of MS Office applications as the basis for application builds.
* Familiarity with Alteryx and Power BI is an advantage; full training will be provided.

Additional Information

* You must have the right to work and live in the UK.
* This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract role.
