Package: Competitive salary: £70,000 to £75,000 base £6,000 car allowance Private medical insurance Management bonus EMI share option scheme Role Summary: Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the business. This is a hands on leadership role that combines strategic direction with operational oversight. The successful candidate will drive business development, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with group objectives, while fostering a positive and productive culture across the team. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership across all business functions. Manage daily operations and ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity. Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff. Oversee business planning, budgeting, and performance measurement. Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards. Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in a senior operational leadership role in engineering or manufacturing e.g. General Manager, Operations Director, Operations Manager, Engineering Director, Plant Manager, Managing Director or similar. Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred). Strong commercial acumen and operational management expertise. Proven ability to manage P and L, budgeting, and financial reporting. Track record of driving business growth and operational improvements.
