The role of project manager is wide ranging and varied. Work streams may include, careers promotion, research and development, training interventions development, engagement and partnership development with key stakeholders.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
1. Delivery of objectives associated to individual projects (App. 1.)
2. Research and analyze training and standards issues on a national and regional basis
3. Develop training and standards proposals considering national and regional differences and requirements
4. Present proposals in written, oral, and visual formats to diverse audiences, at all levels, individually or in groups
5. Negotiate and develop partnership agreements to deliver cost-effective and efficient training and standards solutions, and manage their delivery performance
6. Develop and implement plans to achieve key responsibilities within the assigned project area
7. Monitor and evaluate the progress of project objectives, implementing corrective actions as needed
8. Manage project budgets and report on performance
9. Identify and develop streams of non-levy funding, grants, and partnership opportunities
10. Ensure health and safety risks are assessed and necessary measures are implemented
11. Represent CITB NI on internal and external committees and meetings across the UK and Ireland
12. Assist the Director in developing, implementing, and monitoring organizational strategies, operational plans, budgets, and Balanced Score Cards
13. Maintain current knowledge of management practices and industry issues relevant to the project manager role
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
* At least 1 year of project management experience, including planning, monitoring, and reporting using standard templates
* Strong project management skills
* Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities
* Organizational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines
* Ability to positively influence others and build effective networks
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Valid driving license and access to transportation
Personal Commitments
* Availability to attend locations across the UK and Ireland
* Willingness to work outside normal hours as required
