Overview
This is a challenging but exciting time to be joining the team who have been leading the drive to improve health and wellbeing in the city. The postholder will be strategically responsible for a broad public health portfolio working across all domains of Public Health. The public health team sits in the Directorate of Public Health and Adult Services, led by the Director of Public Health. Our structure and ways of working in the team mean this role will be flexible in terms of lead areas and we will support a portfolio where your key strengths and interests can complement existing consultant portfolios.
Responsibilities
* Provide public health technical and specialist leadership within the wider multi-agency environment.
* Be highly effective in building and sustaining relationships with stakeholders, service providers, elected members and wider sub regional and regional partner agencies.
* Respond to multiple and changing demands with effective interpersonal and influencing skills.
Qualifications
* Qualified as a public health specialist and be on the GMC, GDC or UKPHR specialist register.
