Job Title: Reflection Room Lead - Behaviour & Inclusion Support Location: Whiston, L35 (Merseyside) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and re-engage positively with school? We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Reflection Room Lead to manage a school's Reflection provision in Whiston. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Deputy Headteacher, Inclusion Lead, Pastoral Team, and Senior Leadership Team to promote positive behaviour, personal growth, and inclusion across the school. About the Role: As the Reflection Room Lead, you'll take responsibility for managing the school's Reflection provision - providing a calm, structured environment where pupils can reflect on their behaviour, develop self-regulation skills, and plan for successful reintegration into lessons. You will support pupils requiring an alternative learning environment, helping them to identify challenges, take responsibility for their actions, and build stronger relationships with staff and peers. Key Responsibilities: Manage the daily running of the school's Reflection provision and support pupils referred to the space Work with pupils to identify barriers to learning and agree on strategies for improvement Advise and guide pupils to develop positive behaviours and attitudes toward school Act as a liaison between pupils, staff, and leadership to support engagement and reintegration Contribute to pastoral meetings and discussions to inform understanding of pupil needs Support external referrals where necessary, working with outside agencies Attend follow-up meetings with parents, carers, and professionals to offer support and discuss progress Collaborate with the Senior Leader for welfare and pastoral care to ensure a coordinated approach to pupil support What We're Looking For: Proven experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs (essential) Strong understanding of behaviour management and restorative practices Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach Ability to build trust and motivate pupils to re-engage with education Experience working in a pastoral, inclusion, or behaviour support role within a school setting A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) Desirable (but not essential): Relevant qualifications in behaviour management, youth work, or pastoral support Why Work Through Tradewind?
