We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished professional within the container haulage sector to take on a pivotal leadership role.
This position offers the chance to oversee daily transport activities, drive operational performance, and support a growing business with a strong focus on reliability and service excellence.
Role Overview
1. Lead a team of planners and drivers to ensure the smooth execution of daily schedules.
2. Develop efficient, customer-focused transport plans that maximise available resources.
3. Take ownership of resolving operational challenges and escalations.
4. Maintain composure and deliver solutions in fast-paced environments.
5. Ensure compliance with driver working time regulations and all relevant legislation.
6. Oversee timely updates to transport management systems and maintain strong client communication.
7. Analyse and improve booking processes to enhance cost efficiency.
8. Keep operational records accurate for compliance, audits, and reporting.
9. Act as the key point of contact for senior management on operational matters.
Skills & Experience Required
10. CPC qualification is essential.
11. Minimum 3 years’ experience in container transport operations.
12. In-depth understanding of driver hours and industry legislation.
13. Familiarity with transport management systems such as TOPS (or similar).
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per year
Monday – Friday 08:00-18:00 (flexibility with operational requirements).
