SURVEYING TECHNICIAN/SENIOR SURVEYING TECHNICIAN
Location: 42 Point Street, Stornoway
Salary: Rising to £34,563 on TC3 grade, includes Distant Islands Allowance
Applications are invited for a Surveying Technician/Senior Surveying Technician at the Board's office at 42-46 Point Street, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, HS1 2XF.
The Highland and Western Isles Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995. We provide professional valuation and electoral registration services for Highland and Western Isles, including the compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists, and Registers of Electors.
You will primarily survey, measure, and collate property information for council tax and rating valuation purposes. Experience in surveying and measuring buildings and land is preferred. Familiarity with working with the public is advantageous. Good interpersonal, communication, and computer skills are essential.
You will need to travel efficiently between various work locations within the Highland area to meet operational requirements.
