We are seeking a proactive and organised Operations Officer to join our team and provide essential operational support to our trainees from initial onboarding through to graduation. You will work closely with Training Managers and the Directors of Skyborne to optimise course capacities and training programmes, and ensure effective utilisation of aircraft, simulators, and classroom resources, while maintaining an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Comply with Company procedures, especially regarding safety and compliance.
* Participate in the monitoring process for safety and compliance and raise issues to the flight safety/management team.
* Produce and share pertinent information with flight crews and use air/ground radio to pass/receive information.
* Oversee and monitor flight operations including real-time aircraft tracking; liaise with Air Traffic Control Units with flight-critical information and booking of training slots.
* Manually assist with aircraft repositioning to/from the hangar when required.
* Support trainees with the requirements they need for their flights.
* Provide support to the training management team.
* Support the Flight Logger system and monitor expiry dates and correct data entry.
* Support the administration process for Ground school, Flight school and MCC APS training.
* Assist with the preparation and publication of trainee reports and exam results.
* Provide required documentation to trainees for processing licence applications.
* Create and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for aircraft, classrooms, and simulators.
* Update tracking tools to monitor student progress and aircraft/simulator utilisation.
* Maintain tech logs and liaise with maintenance personnel to schedule servicing and defect rectification.
* Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage staff and effectively interact with internal and external contacts.
* Concentrate and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
* Be flexible and adaptable, able to accept changes and adjust accordingly.
* Foster professional relationships through previous experience in an operations environment and aviation interest.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in an operations environment is beneficial.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A keen interest in aviation is desirable.

* Salary £30,000 per annum
* Shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, typically 07:00–19:00 (12-hour shifts)
