Job Description
The Company Axon Moore are working with PE backed, tech business based in Manchester city centre to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to their Finance team. The business on a growth journey, have a presence throughout the UK and are looking to expand the team. You will report to the Financial Controller, supporting with day-to-day accounting tasks. You will support with the production of management accounts and month end close process, ensuring accuracy across reconciliations and reporting. Salary and Benefits:£30-35k per annum, 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working 2 days in the office, study support, pension, bonus potential, employee perks. Your Role:
* Support in the production of management accounts, posting journals and accruals/prepayments.
* Balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
* Assist with cash-flow forecasting.
* Assist with the board packs and reporting for meetings.
* Complete the monthly billing run including reporting and analysis.
* Support the sales and purchase ledger teams.
* Support the annual audit, preparing relevant documentation and liaising with the auditor.
* Maintain the accounts email inbox, responding to queries, requests and invoices.
* Identification of areas where profit could be maximised through cost savings or other relevant measures.
* Work on ad hoc projects as required.
What We Need from You:
* Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles.
* Competent user of MS Excel for data preparation and analysis, with a clear and methodical style.
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem solver.
* An organised individual comfortable working to set deadlines.
* Confident and approachable with strong communication skills.
* Ability to work independently on a remote basis and prioritise workloads.
