Support Worker - Children's Residential Home - Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) - Worksop, Nottinghamshire

We are establishing a brand-new, children's residential home specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The support worker role offers the chance to contribute to the development of a therapeutic environment from the outset. The home is designed to provide high-level, trauma-informed care and works closely with expert therapeutic practitioners. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive space where children and young people can heal and thrive, rooted in principles of connection before correction.
This position is based in Worksop and involves a shift pattern of 2 on, 4 off, including every other weekend. The hourly rate is £16.00 per hour, based on a 160‑hour month, with additional sleep‑in payments of £70.00 per sleep‑in. Support staff will have access to clinical consultation and specialised therapeutic training, supporting ongoing professional development.
We are seeking candidates with proven experience working in children's residential settings, particularly with EBD or learning disabilities (LD). A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification is essential for senior roles. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trauma‑informed approaches and believe in building strong, empathetic connections with young people. Resilience, professionalism, and the ability to stay calm during challenging situations are key qualities for success in this role.
