As the Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher supporting students with their learning and behaviour. You will typically be assigned a child as a key worker, establishing a strong relationship and assisting with multidisciplinary meetings. You will also serve as the main communication link between school and home to promote attendance and family involvement.

The role is full-time, during term time only, starting immediately, from 08:30 to 15:30.

The Academy supports children and young people aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs across Hull. They emphasize strong relationships as key to success and believe that with the right support, all pupils can succeed through personalized pathways tailored to their needs.

Salary

£15,900 to £16,100 per year, dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement is:

* At least 6 months experience working with children or adults with mental health issues or challenging behaviours
