Job Description We have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Scientist to join our Bioscience team. Based at our Jealott's Hill International Research Centre, you will work with a multi-disciplinary project team, employing proteome-wide profiling methods to characterise chemical perturbagen-induced changes in mammalian cell lines to enhance our understanding of molecular toxicological mechanisms to improve toxicity predictions and human safety. This role requires technical expertise in proteomics-based mass spectrometry, critical thinking, and effective communication skills to drive the proteomic component of this multi-omic endeavor. Qualifications and required experience Qualified to Ph.D. or equivalent experience (minimum MSc plus relevant work experience) in biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics, or related field. Expert knowledge of quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomic workflows. Proficiency in bioinformatics and statistical tools to process and interpret quantitative proteomic data, identifying trends, patterns, and meaningful biological insights. Hands on experience of instrument set-up and data-acquisition. Ability and desire to work as part of a team and to work without technical supervision.
