Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (41.5 hours per week)Transport Manager

Job Purpose:
Our Drivers do more than a driving job .You are the face of the business ensuring all goods are delivered in first class condition completing all necessary paperwork and leaving with a good impression of you and our business.
Essential Requirements
1. Full UK driving licence
2. High levels of health and safety standards
3. Numerate and literate
4. Ability to communicate with customers and co workers
5. Ability to work under pressure
6. Flexibility
7. Diligent attention to detail
8. Good knowledge of HGV drivers rules and regulations
Desirable Requirement
9. Experience of multi-drop deliveries
10. Current fork truck certificate(B1 counter balance )
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
11. Ensure that the load is correct against customer’s orders
12. Check goods off with customer and ensure a signature and print
13. Provide excellent customer service
14. Handle customers issues on delivery and contact Transport Office if required
15. Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner
16. Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law
17. Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage
18. Maintain the cleanliness of the cab
19. Ensure accidents are kept to a minimum
20. Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance to companies accident reporting procedures
21. Complete vehicle daily inspection and report any defects to Manager
22. Attend essential training to carry out the driving role
23. To provide support in warehouse if required by the Transport Manager
24. Adhere to all company policies and procedures

25. Loading and unloading of product from the vehicle
26. Opening and closing of vehicle curtains/doors, Moving product by hand around warehouse
