Shire Fuels are expanding and we are looking for a tanker driver. This position is for a Class 2 Driver (4 wheeler rigid). Please only enquire if you are interested in this position.
Shire Fuels are an independently owned, family run bulk fuel distributor based in Cinderford, Gloucestershire. We began as a solely 4x4 oil delivery company in 2021 but the business has grown to the point where we now need to take the next step.
Shifts are Monday - Friday. Holidays are 20 days per annum with an additional day per years service, up to a maximum of 5.

Summary
As a Fuel Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting fuel safely and efficiently to various locations. With core skills in driving and commercial driving, you will operate tanker vehicles while adhering to all safety regulations. Previous experience as a delivery driver will enhance your ability to navigate routes and ensure timely deliveries. Holding an ADR certification and possessing a Category C Licence are essential requirements for this role. Join our team and be a vital part of our fuel transportation operations.
Responsibilities
* Safely transport fuel in tanker trucks to designated locations.
* Adhere to all ADR regulations and safety protocols during transportation.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in optimal condition.
* Utilize Category C Licence to operate commercial vehicles efficiently.
* Utilize delivery driver experience to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
* Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules effectively.
Qualifications
* Valid Category C driving license
* ADR certification for transporting hazardous materials
* Proven experience as a delivery driver
* Commercial driving experience
* Familiarity with tanker vehicles
