East Lothian Children’s Services have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practitioner to fulfil the role of full time SCIM interviewer in our dynamic Child Protection Team. The team consists of a team leader, three senior practitioners, one social worker/SCIM interviewer and a part time SCIM interviewer. Applicants should have a sound value base, excellent communication skills and knowledge of the Scottish Child Interview Model. Advanced knowledge, skills and competences of forensic interviews that produce best quality evidence and ensure the protection of the child is also vital. Candidates should demonstrate a confidence in being an active participant in the planning, briefing and de-briefing for joint investigative interviews.
