Role Overview
CrossCountry is recruiting Train Managers at the Leeds depot to operate our Voyager services, which run up to 125 mph across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Check and sell tickets on board services
* Advise customers on their journeys individually and in groups
* Ensure the train environment is comfortable by fixing and reporting defective equipment and managing luggage issues
* Handle unexpected challenges with calm, confident approach
* Lead safety procedures and respond to critical situations
* Work as part of the onboard team to deliver a memorable customer experience
Qualifications and Requirements
Must live within one hour's commute of Leeds and be able to travel at unsocial hours reliably due to shift work. Applicants must pass a safety critical medical and DBS check.
Training
10-week training course at the Customer Service Training Centre in Derby covering all aspects of the role.
Remuneration & Benefits
Salary £35,371 p.a. during training, rising to £41,292 p.a. upon completion. Average hours 35 per week. Unlimited free train travel on CrossCountry services, discounted travel on other train companies, pension scheme, free uniform, excellent holiday entitlement.
