Your new role
This position sits within an established team operating across the East Midlands, working with a diverse mix of property types. The workload includes mainstreammercial assets—industrial, office and retail—as well as development sites, residential investments and a variety of more specialist public‑sector properties. Key Areas of Work
1. Loan Security Valuation – The role involves providing lenders withprehensive, independent reports on the market value and rental value of individual properties or entire portfolios.
2. Alternative Sectors - The team’s alternative valuers undertake valuations for a wide range of purposes, including loan security, portfolio analysis, financial reporting, acquisition and disposal,pensation, property litigation and taxation.
3. Diminution in Value - The role includes providing independent valuation advice in relation to dilapidations disputes and matters such as alleged negligence in conveyancing.
4. Fund Valuation - The team supports asset managementpanies and investment trusts by delivering detailed valuations and insights into the performance andposition of their property holdings.
What you'll need to succeed
The role is suited to RICS Registered Valuers seeking a new challenge, as well as newly qualified surveyors or those working towards their RICS APC who wish to develop their skills as valuation surveyors. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in property, buildings and construction, and be passionate about progressing their career in valuation. They should be self‑motivated, ambitious and driven, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to stand behind their professional decisions. A personable, professional and well‑presented manner is essential, alongside excellentmunication abilities. The position requires strong verbal and numerical skills,fort with report writing, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. An MRICS qualification with proven experience—preferably within amercial consultancy—is highly desirable. A clean driving licence is required.
