Position Overview:
As a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to our clients elderly residents. Your compassion, dedication, and commitment to the role will ensure that residents receive the personalized care they deserve. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Supporting residents with mobility and daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful connections and relationships.
Assisting with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals and colleagues to ensure holistic care and continuity of support for residents.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observing and reporting any changes in residents' health or behaviour.
Qualifications and Skills:
NISCC registration is mandatory
6 months previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or elderly care setting is preferred.
A genuine passion for caring for elderly individuals and a commitment to providing person-centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
Right to work in Northern Ireland is required.
