An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bank Community Mental Health Nurse/Social Worker Band 6 to work within the South Beds Leighton Buzzard CMHT.
We are looking to recruit someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about applying Biopsychosocial intervention/recovery model within Community setting. This post would be suitable for someone with a strong interest in Community Mental Health Services.
This role is based at Crombie House, Leighton Buzzard, working with a multidisciplinary team including CPNs, Doctors, Psychologists, Support Workers, and Occupational Therapists.
As part of the NHS Long Term Plan development, you will help achieve the aspirations of service users and carers, focusing on strengths and holistic, creative solutions.
You will work in partnership with service users and carers, utilizing their strengths, and collaborate with other agencies and voluntary groups to promote independence. Knowledge of The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act/DOLS is essential.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Quality of Service Provision
* Manage an identified community caseload, ensuring high standards of professional conduct.
* Deliver statutory social care duties under the Care Act, Safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
* Access appropriate care and support packages adhering to local procedures.
* Promote a service user-focused approach.

Person specification
Education & Training
* Qualifications in health or social care (e.g., RMN, Dip SW).
* Psychosocial Intervention Qualification or psychotherapy training.
* Family intervention training.
Experience
* Experience working with individuals with serious mental health issues in multidisciplinary settings.
* Experience within health trusts or social services.
* Supervisory experience.
* Experience with assessments, including physical health.
* Experience with first episode psychosis and carers.
* Experience working in multicultural environments, including with interpreters.
