SENIOR PERSONAL TAX AND STRUCTURING SECIALIST - FAMILY OFFICE:

We are looking to hire someone who will take on a broad role overseeing and handling all projects relating to a well known British entrepreneur, their family and their needs. This hire will require a strong understanding of finance and accounting and will have a lot of administration to oversee due to the number of positions that the family hold in different charities. They also have a number of homes, tax issues that relate to these homes and tax returns that need filing in different countries. This individual will also need to build a relationship with the children who are not UK based.

As befits a private, family environment, flexibility is required. It is absolutely crucial that this individual has a high EQ/IQ and that they are prepared to take responsibility for dealing with all of the issues related to the family office.

They should be an individual who is intelligent, numerate and proactive, helping the Principal to identify areas requiring thought and action across the investment portfolio, in their tax/legal affairs and in estate planning. They should be an individual who is able to input data into the portfolio information and management system, analyze investment returns, highlight potential tax liabilities and how to deal with them, model future cash flows, manage the relationship with offshore company directors, with banks and with tenants, and maintain strategic oversight for the family’s finances.

Qualifications:

* QUALIFIED ACA - PRE-REQUISITE
* EXPERIENCE WORKING IN ONE OF THE TOP TAX/ACCOUNTING TEAMS IN THE BIG 4 SUPPORTING UHNWI'S.
* STRONG EXPERIENCE IN PERSONAL TAX STRUCTURING FOR UHNWI'S/FAMILY OFFICES (and International experience would be considered a plus).
* Strong knowledge of monitoring an investment portfolio, finance and accounting
* Strong familiarity with legal and administrative documents, and ability to work effectively with legal and accounting professional advisors in the UK, US, France and Israel
* An independent voice with the ability to challenge constructively, as appropriate
* Seniority and gravitas to represent the Principal in relationships and negotiations with key commercial partners and service providers
* Watertight risk and reputation management
* Able to operate as a trusted senior advisor
* Strong negotiating and influencing skills
* Strong leadership skills: the ability to define and steward a strong culture and sense of purpose
* Able to recognize and accept the ownership of certain decisions does not lie with the Head of Family Office and management team but with the family
* Strong analytics, high touch people skills, excellent judgement
* Discretion and low need for high public profile/accolade. No ego – vocational approach
* Direct, organized, hardworking, empathetic and easy communication style
* Comfortable working with a small team comprising one administrator and one bookkeeper from the family’s home in London at least four days a week.
