Your new companyYou will be joining an established organisation which places the service user at the heart of everything they do. This organisation is focused on supporting vulnerable people in the community. This organisation primarily supports service users whose lives have been held back by a range of social deprivation.Your new role
* To participate in patterns of shift work to enable the team to maximise potential contact with service users.
* To establish contact with rough sleepers and beggars; working within protocols to rapidly assist service users through street outreach shifts at a variety of times and in a range of locations.
* To identify and target entrenched rough sleepers, including those unwilling to engage with services, providing assertive outreach.
* To maintain accurate and comprehensive records on service users, shared with appropriate agencies, including the Police, when necessary.
* To work closely with drug and alcohol agencies to ensure that substance misusers and problem drinkers can access treatment.
* To work with Mental Health Agencies to ensure that, where appropriate, service users have access to address their mental health issues.
Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm, occasional late nights if a client is requesting. What you'll need to succeed
* Must have worked in a substance-misuse setting and, ideally, an outreach role.
* Must be willing to work full-time
