Facilitate Search have partnered with a leading UK FM provider in seeking an experienced and driven Contract Manager to oversee the hard services operations on a highly critical site in Cheshire. This is a pivotal role in an award winning organisation to ensure the smooth delivery of hard FM services to meet compliance, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing engineering and maintenance teams, statutory compliance, planned and reactive works, and supplier/contractor performance. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate effectively within a high-pressure, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all hard services across a highly critical site, ensuring compliance with statutory, health & safety, and contractual obligations. Oversee the delivery of planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and projects to agreed service levels. Act as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring high standards of service delivery. Manage budgets, financial reporting, and performance monitoring to achieve cost efficiency and contract profitability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and maintenance operations. Provide leadership and development to engineering teams, ensuring skills, training, and succession planning are in place. Support business growth through contract retention and potential service expansion. Skills & Experience Required Proven track record as a Contract Manager or Senior Engineering Manager within hard FM services. Experience working on critical sites (e.g., data centres, healthcare, secure facilities, or similar environments). Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, technical standards, and FM legislation. Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills. Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and driving contract performance. Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, Degree in Engineering, or equivalent). IOSH/NEBOSH certification desirable.
