We are seeking two registered Clinical Scientists to join the Radiotherapy Physics team at Castle Hill Hospital.
As a Radiotherapy Physicist you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred radiotherapy services and support the multidisciplinary team’s innovation, research and training.
You will work with a range of equipment including 6 Varian linacs (4 Truebeam, 2 Halcyon) equipped with SGRT (AlignRT), 2 Siemens Somatom go.Open Pro CT scanners, an Xstrahl superficial unit, a Papillon+ contact radiotherapy system, and will help install a new Bravos brachytherapy afterloader.
Responsibilities
* Providing specialist scientific expertise across all areas of radiotherapy physics, including treatment planning, QA, dosimetry and brachytherapy.
* Contributing to service development, research, audit and training.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and national standards.
* Supporting radiotherapy operations 8 am – 8 pm and adjusting hours as required for out‑of‑hours coverage.
Qualifications
* Registered Clinical Scientist.
* Experience with Varian linacs and associated QA.
* Ability to work flexibly within and outside of normal hours.
