An established and successful business services company in Cardiff are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant. Working in a busy, commercial environment the primary function of the role is to support financial reporting and analysis to guide strategic decision making. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will provide insight into the turnover, gross profit, budgeting and commercial analysis. Assistant Accountant duties Producing weekly gross profit reports. Monthly P&L reporting packs including analysis. Developing commercial KPI reports. Analysis of company overheads. Sales/Product analysis. Budgeting and forecasting Continually improving reporting methodologies to add value to the business. Support with systems improvements. Ad hoc reporting/analysis required to support the finance and commercial teams. Work closely with non-finance colleagues, attending business partner meetings. Assistant Accountant person specification Part qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or AAT qualified. Demonstrable experience in a similar role. Advanced Microsoft Excel ability. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the company.
