Veterinary Surgeon – 1 in 4 Saturdays – Stable team – Salary up to £65,000
We’re looking for an experienced and personable Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic team at Swansea Vets4Pets on a full or part time basis.
Our team
The practice is run locally by Paula who has an interest in surgery, Alison who as well as practice owner and RVN is also the onsite mental health first aider and Liz, experienced practice owner, practice manager and RVN. In turn they are supported by a team totalling 4 vets, 5 RVNs, 1 ACA, 3 receptionists and a reception manager.
We are a family friendly, supportive and stable team and can be flexible with the rota to accommodate individual needs.
The practice
The practice is in a central location in Swansea close to the city centre, train station and local beaches. As well kitchen space for our colleagues, facilities at our purpose-built practice include 3 consult rooms, operating theatre, preparation room, separate cat and dog wards and all the equipment you would expect from a leading general practice, including recently upgraded digital x-ray and ultra-sound.
You and the role
This rewarding position could be either full time or part time up to 40 hours a week with just 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am-6:00pm, no Sundays, no OOH and bank holidays shared evenly across the team 9am-1:00pm, ensuring you can enjoy an excellent balance between work and home.
The full-time rota is managed across 4 weekdays’ of 10-hour mixed days, and then 2 days off when you have worked a weekend. Consults are given 20 minutes and operating days are shared out between the vets.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for an experienced vet with a broad range of GP skills. We are lucky to have a varied caseload including so you’ll be confident in all aspects of everyday small animal medicine and surgery.
