One of the UK’s leading M&E contractors based in Essex is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a long-term contract.
Location: Essex (with travel to sites across the UK)
Contract: Long-term, 40 hours/week
Rate: £360 per day
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team delivering high-quality healthcare and hospital projects. You will be responsible for managing mechanical projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage healthcare mechanical projects from planning to completion
* Oversee subcontractors and ensure programmes, budgets, and quality standards are met
* Coordinate commissioning of ventilation and AC systems
* Ensure Health & Safety compliance, RAMS, and inductions
* Act as main contact for clients and contractors
Required Skills & Experience:
* Mechanical project management experience, ideally in healthcare/hospitals
* Skilled trade qualifications with SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* HVAC and commissioning knowledge
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Willing to travel to sites (twice weekly, UK-wide occasionally)
