Join our dynamic Acute Medical Unit (AMU) team as a doctor dedicated to improving patient care and service delivery. You'll collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to optimize medical admissions, support efficient patient flow, and drive service improvements within your specialty. In this role, you'll mentor junior doctors, contribute to front-door services, and participate in the on-call SDEC rota, all while helping to meet key performance targets and ensure excellent outcomes for short-stay inpatients.
Main duties of the job
The appointed doctor would be expected to:
* Work in close collaboration with theAMUteam to improve the management of medical admissions, to support the achievement of departmental and trust key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Work within your own area of subspecialty interest to influence change and service improvement within this area of medicine.
* Support the Trust in the delivery of an effective front door service to support with patient flow and length of stay.
* To continue to support the AMU in the delivery of excellent length of stay for their short stay inpatients.
* Provide teaching to junior medical staff colleagues to support in their learning and development.
* Participate in the on call SDEC rota

* Minimum 2 years NHS experience
