Join us in a varied role at the heart of Nationwide’s Finance function, where your work will directly influence how we manage Treasury Risks and Financial Reporting. You will be working on the regulatory reporting and implementation of models covering Treasury Risks and Financial Reporting. This is more than just a technical role—it’s your chance to drive innovation, future‑proof critical systems, and make a real impact on how we make business decisions.

We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

Why this role matters

As a Senior Analyst – Reporting, you’ll be a key player in running, building and maintaining robust systems and reporting tools that support strategic decision‑making across the business. From regulatory reporting to software migration and data governance, your work will help shape the future of our financial landscape. You’ll also gain deep exposure to both technology and risk management, making this a fantastic opportunity for professional growth.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of developing and enhancing Finance reporting systems, ensuring they are accurate, resilient and efficient. Acting as a technical lead on high‑impact initiatives, you’ll use tools such as SAS, SQL and Databricks to design scalable, insight‑driven solutions. You’ll work closely with Finance and Treasury colleagues to support business growth and transformation, contributing across both project delivery and day‑to‑day activity in an Agile environment. Alongside this, you’ll maintain and continually improve the existing reporting suite, proactively identifying issues and resolving them to keep processes running smoothly.

About you

You’re someone who is keen to apply their programming and data analysis skills in a financial environment and likes to get a deep understanding of a problem and come up with creative but practical solutions. You enjoy working collaboratively and are always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

As a minimum, you’ll have/be:

* Familiarity with Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) processes and tools like SQL, VBA, Python, or Qlik would be advantageous
* Experience working with large, complex datasets
* A numerical, analytical or technical background
* Clear communication and the ability to explain technical ideas in a simple, friendly way
* The ability to work and collaborate well with non‑technical colleagues
* Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment
