Rate: £50 – £58 per hour
Working hours: Monday – Friday
An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly skilled Band 7 Echocardiographer to join our client’s cardiology department in Gloucester. This locum position is ideal for an experienced professional looking to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiac diagnostic services. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions for the client’s patients.
Responsibilities:
* Performing and interpreting a wide range of echocardiograms, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with clinical protocols.
* Working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care pathways.
* Maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
* Participating in audit and quality assurance activities.
* Ensuring equipment is used and maintained appropriately.
Qualifications and Experience:
* BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualification in Echocardiography – highly desirable.
* Current registration with HCPC.
* Proficiency in using echocardiography equipment and reporting software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
