We are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join our company with the opportunity for an immediate start. Alternatively, if you have a notice that is fine too. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of a bookkeeper to supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The hourly rate is £14.00 per hour.
The main duties will be:
1. Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers.
2. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
3. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
4. Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
6. Collaborate with external accounts for review.
Requirements
7. Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
8. Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
9. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
11. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
12. Understanding of invoice discounting procedure
13. Experience of Sage 50 is strongly desired.
