Main Responsibilities
As Logistics Team Leader, you will actively support planning and coordinating the day-to-day workload of the Logistics department to ensure that all warehousing and stores activities—including receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and goods—run safely and efficiently. You will also operate manual handling equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, secure, and controlled receipt, storage, and movement of stock/materials in accordance with company procedures.
Accountabilities
* Providing input into the management of direct reports, including recruitment, performance management, reward and recognition, and training and development.
* Supporting the logistics supervisor in planning, coordinating, and deploying resources on-shift to achieve operational goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Overseeing daily operations and workflow to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery to internal and external customers.
* Providing holiday/absence cover for the logistics supervisor and acting as the point of contact for the warehouse.
* Coordinating operational changes, such as material shortages or damaged parts, in the absence of the logistics supervisor.
* Operating manual handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Maintaining SAP MRP by accurately inputting transactions, updating records, and generating reports.
