Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Isle of Grain
Hours: Full-time, 7 days a week rota (Mon–Sun)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the daily cleaning operations across offices, kitchens, welfare areas, and communal spaces. This role requires a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and carry out the cleaning of toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors and urinals multiple times daily, ensuring constant checks and replenishment of consumables (hand soap, sanitiser, toilet roll, etc.).
* Maintain all office, meeting room and corridor areas, including vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting desks, chair handles, doors, cabinets, shelves, and vision panels.
* Oversee kitchen cleaning duties: loading/unloading the dishwasher, sanitising tables and surfaces, cleaning sinks, floors, coffee machines, and water dispensers.
* Manage welfare facilities: regular cleaning of toilets, changing/drying rooms, sinks and tables in line with staff break times.
* Ensure the smoking area is kept clean, with bins emptied and the water bucket refilled daily.
* Carry out weekly deep-cleaning tasks including desk dividers, windowsills, skirting boards, walls, air conditioning units, and office screens.
* Monitor and manage cleaning stock levels, tracking daily usage and ensuring timely reordering.
* Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times, including safe use of equipment (no trailing leads, correct placement of signage).
* Provide clear direction to cleaning staff and work closely with site management
Requirements
* Previous supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities role.
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety best practice (training can be provided).
* Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as required.
