What You’ll Do: Be Accountable on Shift
As a Healthcare Assistant at The Amwell, you are responsible for delivering safe, high-quality care and making every shift count. Your key responsibilities include:
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines while promoting autonomy and positive choices
* Provide Personalised Care: Follow care plans and deliver hands-on support tailored to individual needs
* Monitor Health & Wellbeing: Observe residents closely, report concerns to Nurses or the Clinical Deputy Manager, and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals
* Champion Dignity & Respect: Ensure every resident feels valued, safe, and cared for
* Foster Social Interaction: Encourage meaningful connections among residents and staff, creating a welcoming environment
* Maintain Safety & Comfort: Work with colleagues to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable home, responding promptly to call bells or emergencies
* Support Nutrition: Help residents with eating and drinking where needed, meeting individual nutritional requirements
* Bring Positivity: Spread joy and smiles to residents every day, making a real difference in their lives
About You
Qualifications: Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred, but not essential if you have relevant experience.
Experience: Ideally at least 6 months in care, but we value passion, transferable skills, and a willingness to learn.
Values & Accountability: You bring integrity, teamwork, and the confidence to take responsibility on your shift, ensuring safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.
Passion for Care: A genuine interest in supporting the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent care.
