Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Assist chefs in the preparation and cooking of food as required.
* Clean all equipment, crockery, and cutlery.
* Take delivery of stock, including food and provisions, checking and accounting for items.
* Support cleaning, periodic cleaning, and deep cleaning as required.
* Handle all food in accordance with the Food Safety & Quality Management System standards.
* Remove waste promptly and dispose of it in the correct waste containers per site waste management plan.
* Perform tasks efficiently.
* Participate as a HACCP team member if required.
* Carry out work in compliance with relevant H&S legislation and codes of practice.
* Engage in ongoing professional development and training, including off-site opportunities.
* Store raw materials and packaging correctly.
* Carry out activities as per the FSQMS cleaning schedule if relevant.
* Receive deliveries and verify supplier invoices following company procedures.
* Complete projects or tasks assigned by the Unit Manager/Chef Manager.
* Embrace and promote a Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications
* No formal education required.
* Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
* Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
* Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation is a plus.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
