Your Role
Following an internal promotion, we are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and deliver exceptional service to one of our key, prestigious customers. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations across designated areas, ensuring seamless functionality and full compliance with established procedures. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and aligning team performance with the company’s strategic goals.
You will foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, championing continuous improvement and service excellence. Additionally, you will establish and maintain a strong communication framework that promotes effective dialogue across departments and with the wider business at our Telford site.

Your Responsibilities
1. Oversee stock maintenance, productivity, and facilities within your designated area, proactively addressing any issues to ensure smooth operations.
2. Monitor and manage costs effectively within the group, providing advice on variances or additional costs needed to support service delivery while adhering to budget constraints.
3. Govern operational and general business SORs/KPIs, ensuring they are met and improved through effective management of resources.
4. Establish and maintain proactive planning processes, ensuring timely communication of operational requirements and aligning these with the organization’s strategic direction.
5. Oversee the annual Personal Performance Review (PPR) of direct reports, manage succession planning, and promote personal development.
Your Skills and Experiences
1. Proven expertise in logistics management within a large, fast-paced environment.
2. Solid experience with warehouse systems.
3. Leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
4. Experience in financial and strategic management, with commercial awareness.
5. In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
6. Experience in achieving targets.
7. Familiarity with dangerous goods regulations (IATA/ADR/IMDG).
