We're looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Manchester Airport team based in Manchester. As a Logistics Manager, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of materials, plant, and people at our busy Manchester Airport site.
Location: Manchester Airport – site based 5 days per week
Hours: 2 years Fixed Term Contract, Fulltime 42 hours per week
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per year + £6.7k annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

What will you be responsible for?
As a Logistics Manager, you'll work collaboratively with site managers to ensure smooth operations while maintaining safety standards and minimising disruption to the local community and stakeholders.
Your day to day will include:
* Managing a team of 5 logistics assistants while coordinating delivery schedules and traffic management plans
* Overseeing the Just in Time Delivery system and ensuring all supply chain partners comply with logistics protocols
* Leading safe and efficient movement of materials, including checking and signing off lifting plans
* Liaising with external stakeholders like Clayton Hotel, MAG, Metrolink and Hilton hotel to minimise disruption
* Ensuring all site activities comply with Aerodrome Safeguarding Permits and environmental plans
What are we looking for?
This role of Logistics Manager is great if you:
* Have experience managing high-volume delivery schedules, logistics operations and supply chain coordination on major construction projects
* Proven experience managing logistics programmes aligned with project plans
* Demonstrate strong understanding of health and safety compliance and can apply this knowledge safely to logistics activities
* Communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships across site teams, contractors and stakeholders
* Hold SSSTS/SMSTS certification
