Do you have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with a background in structural steel?
Links Recruitment present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and well-established construction business. This is a varied role managing all commercial aspects of projects while working alongside a team of experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
The core responsibilities of the role include the analysis and agreement of sub-contract documentation, managing variations and valuations, compiling project forecasts, and offering commercial and contractual advice. The successful candidate will have strong experience in the construction sector (minimum 5 years), ideally with exposure to structural steel projects, and will be confident in handling commercial aspects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse and agree sub-contract documentation including terms, warranties, and bonds
* Investigate, prepare, and submit variations, claims, and measurements for interim valuations and final accounts
* Monitor and compile cost and revenue performance, including cost and cashflow forecasting
* Provide commercial and contractual advice to internal teams and external clients
* Agree and finalise sub-contractor accounts
* Attend sites nationwide to liaise with clients and sub-contractors
Requirements:
* Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
* Ideally experienced in structural steel or similar environments
* Relevant qualifications such as HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Professional membership of RICS would be advantageous
* Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills
* Willingness to travel nationwide to attend project sites
Role: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (Depending on experience)
Shifts: Monday to Friday Day Shifts
