This is a superb career opportunity for an ambitious retail professional to join our fast growing Farm and Country Store business. Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a General Manager to oversee all staff and the day-to-day operations of the business.
This is a broad ranging opportunity, and you will be responsible for managing three stores to evaluate and improve overall operations, and to include the recruitment and training of new employees and to ensure existing employees work productively, develop professionally and are positively motivated with set goals for growth.
Ideally with experience in retail management, you will be an ambitious, entrepreneurial retail professional with excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations
Design strategy and set goals for growth
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
Evaluate and improve operations
Prepare reports for upper management
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Provide solutions to issues
To work with the buying team on stock and pricing.
Requirements and skills Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role
Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Problem-solving aptitude.
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Office.
