The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking two (2) qualified individuals for the position of Quality Review Specialist. These roles support the Facility Licensing and Investigations Section (FLIS), part of the Healthcare Quality and Safety Branch. The responsibilities include performing on-site inspections of Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID) and other licensed facilities to ensure compliance with federal and state standards.

In This Role You Will:
* Conduct in-person visits to ICFs/IID and other facilities for surveys
* Investigate complaints and unusual occurrences
* Evaluate quality of care, quality of life, and resident rights according to regulations
* Prepare inspection and narrative reports
* Monitor emergent situations in healthcare facilities (e.g., strike monitoring)
* Ensure conditions promote health and prevent disease, injury, and disability
* Promote the highest attainable standard of health as a human right
