About the Role:
As a Room Leader, you'll take the lead in your designated room, guiding your team in delivering exceptional care and engaging learning experiences. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading by example and has a genuine passion for early years education.
You'll work closely with the Nursery Manager and senior staff to:
* Support the daily running of your room
* Ensure consistent, high-quality care and education
* Motivate and mentor your room team
* Create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where both children and staff thrive

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the day-to-day running of your room, maintaining high standards of care and education
* Deliver a fun, engaging, child-led curriculum in line with the Curriculum for Wales (CfW)
* Be a positive role model in interactions, play, and routine care
* Support, mentor, and motivate your room team
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed consistently
* Build strong, supportive relationships with families
* Complete observations, assessments, and contribute to audits/inspections
* Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to share best practice
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
* Level 4/5 qualification, or willingness to work towards
* Good knowledge of CIW regulations, safeguarding legislation, and the Curriculum for non-maintained settings
* Confident leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support a small team
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential
* Driver with access to own vehicle and willingness to obtain business insurance
* Genuine passion for delivering high-quality early years education and care
