Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager
Location: Ashridge House
Department: Sales & Events
Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing
Salary: Competitive + OTE

Ashridge House is a prestigious and world-renowned conference and events venue, home to Hult International Business School and part of EF, a global leader in education.

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and developing our newly formed Business Development team. This player-coach role will motivate and hold accountable a team of Business Development Managers to achieve team revenue targets whilst exceeding their own. Coaching and influencing skills are essential in this position!

Key Responsibilities

1. Coach and develop Business Development Management Team
2. Ownership of personal and team revenue goals
3. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, networking, and market engagement.
4. Play a key role in shaping and executing the business development strategy for new and emerging markets.
5. Maintain strong awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
6. Work closely with sales, marketing and other internal stakeholders to continuously develop products and services.

Who are you?

7. Proven experience (6+ years) in proactive business development or strategic sales within a B2B environment.
8. Proven experience in people management and team development.
9. Commercially astute, with strong judgement and strategic thinking capability.
10. Demonstrated success in securing high-value contracts and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
11. Strong consultative selling capability, with the ability to translate client needs into tailored commercial solutions.
12. Proven experience in full utilisation of a CRM platform to optimise sales performance.
13. High levels of emotional intelligence, with the ability to build rapport quickly and influence effectively.
14. Able to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team.
15. Flexible and willing to travel and work outside standard hours when required.
