NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.


Overview

The shift pattern for this post is: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

You must have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post.

Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. We require a community Addiction nurse to be based within NE sector to provide specialist Addiction care and Treatment to individuals within this geographical area. The post holder will be responsible for managing their community caseload within a defined geographical location. The post holder will have a key role in promoting and developing the role of the Addiction Nurse.

The post holder should be a registered mental health nurse who is highly motivated and has excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for managing a community caseload within a defined geographical area. Promote and develop the role of the Addiction Nurse within the Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service and deliver specialist Addiction care and treatment in the community.


Qualifications

* Registered mental health nurse (NMC UK pin) with current registration.
* Highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
