We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
* Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in your care
* Supervise and support children throughout their daily routines, including play, mealtimes, and rest periods
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes learning, socialisation, and emotional well-being
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with regulatory standards
* Collaborate with colleagues to organise activities, outings, and special events that enhance the nursery experience
* Ensure health and safety procedures are rigorously followed at all times
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and daily experiences
* Lead by example in maintaining high standards of behaviour, organisation, and professionalism within the nursery setting
* Assist with management tasks such as staff supervision, rota planning, and ensuring compliance with childcare regulations
* Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or transportation needs
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting
* Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations and support team members
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles
* Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent are highly desirable
* Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm in engaging with young children
* Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or supplies as needed
* Experience with managing teams or leading activities is advantageous
