The role of School Manager is an interesting and wide-ranging role, which will be suited to an adaptable and detail-orientated individual with experience in managing multiple projects. We are a forward thinking and creative school with exceptional children who are keen to learn and a committed and friendly staff team. We are looking for an experienced and skilled candidate who can provide strategic vision in all aspects of school administration and human resources, and who will be responsible for business operation across the school provision.
Candidates must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be flexible to change and be able to manage a diverse, but interesting and enjoyable workload. The successful candidate will be people-focused, have a positive outlook, be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and is excited to develop this role.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have good interpersonal and leadership skills
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills
* Be assertive and decisive in decision making
* Be highly organised, reliable and able to use time management skills effectively
* Have high expectations
* Possess self-motivation and initiative to work as part of a team as well as individually
* Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills minimum of A Level qualification or equivalent with good GCSE (or equivalent) in maths and English, Level C or above
* IT iterate with Intermediate knowledge (or above) of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms, Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, Visio
* Awareness of the need for confidentiality and understanding of the need for GDPR compliance
* Is committed to safeguarding the welfare of staff and children
* Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines whilst retaining professional composure
* Be a problem solver and have strong analytical and organisational skills
* Proactive, flexible and versatile
* Be able to line manage a small administration team
The successful candidate will have confidence and experience in strategic planning; administration and management; finance; procurement; human resources; governance and the ability to head varied teams of support staff in a school environment. Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential.
