As a Relief Chef, you will play a key role in assisting the Operational Executive Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations across multiple venues. This dynamic role involves supporting the development of both people and performance, contributing to menu design, understanding financials, and providing solutions to operational challenges.

Your role will cover:
Operational Support:
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure efficient kitchen operations across all venues.
* Assist in staff training, development, and performance management.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards and consistency.
Menu Design & Development:
* Work with the Culinary team to create and modify menus aligned with business goals and guest expectations.
* Contribute creative ideas for new dishes that are cost-effective, sustainable, and high quality.
* Manage costings and financials related to menu planning to control food costs and maximize profitability.
* Learn and utilize financial systems to track food costs, labor, and operational expenses.
* Identify opportunities to reduce waste and optimize resource use across venues.
Problem-Solving & Operational Excellence:
* Address operational challenges proactively, from supply chain issues to staffing needs.
* Provide solutions to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Adapt to changing circumstances and support venues as needed.
People & Performance Management:
* Support team performance through training and development needs assessment.
* Assist in recruitment, mentoring, and career development of kitchen staff.
* Provide feedback to maintain high standards and productivity.
